In the religious domain, to make a reform, it is not invent, but it is about returning to an original shape as a thing has been created.
The reform comes to straighten everything that the men undid in general, and to pull the mistakes invented by the fallen Churches, because ” Those who lead these people have misled them and totally confused them.” (Isaiah 9 :16)
God wants to show to men his intention towards them, because ” From one human being he created all races on earth and made them live throughout the whole earth. He himself fixed beforehand the exact times and the limits of the places where they would live. He did this so that they would look for him, and perhaps find him as they felt about for him. Yet God is actually not far from any one of us; as someone has said, ‘In him we live and move and exist.’ It is as some of your poets have said, ‘We too are his children’”(Acts 17 :26-28). “The world and all that is in it belong to the LORD” (Psalms 24 :1).
The major part of the inhabitants of the earth believes in God’s existence. … God of our Salute, Hope of all faraway extremities of the earth and the sea ! You set the mountains in place by your strength, showing your mighty power. Your calm the roar of the seas and the noise of the waves; you calm the uproar of the peoples. The whole world stands in awe of the great things that you have done. Your deeds bring shouts of joy from one end of the earth to the other. You show your care for the land by sending rain ; you make it rich and fertile. You fill the streams with water, you provide the earth with crops. This is how you do it: you send abundant rain on the ploughed fields and soak them with water; you soften the soil with water; you soften the soil with showers and cause the young plants to grow. What a rich harvest your goodness provides! Wherever you go there is plenty. The pastures are filled with flocks; the hillsides are full of joy. The fields are covered with sheep; the valleys are full of wheat. Everything shouts and sings for joy “ (Psalm 65 :6-13).
On the other hand, today’s world endures the apostasies. The people have defiled the earth by breaking God’s laws and by violating the covenant he made to last for ever. The earth will crack and shatter and split open. The earth itself will stagger like a drunken man and sway like a hut in a storm. The world is weighed down by its sins; it will collapse and never rise again. (Isaiah 24 :5 ; 19-20).
Its only remedy consists in a reform that requires us all one only and same obedience to God and an identical service.
The reform asks all person to abandon the mistakes while requiring him to follow the just way. In other words, the reform comes ” to uproot and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant ” (Jeremiah 1 :10).
